 WHY YOU NEED TO READ BOOKS? Because books are one of the awesome creation of humans and have become inevitable to this mankind. 

“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you’ll go.”Dr. Seuss

By reading books we can discover new lands, and become completely different people with a different world. Because they broaden our horizons and assist us to gain new perspectives on life. For some individuals a book is like a best friend who will never walk away from them, as they are packed with knowledge; insights to a happier life, life lessons, love, fear, prayer, and helpful advice.

Everyone knows that reading is important, though for a majority of the people reading books is the most familiar habit they have(specifically in resumes). But have you ever asked yourself why that is so? In this post, I will list out 10 reasons why reading is important. I hope you can really find out the reason why reading is so important to you so you can get a brand new desire to explore the world of reading.

 

#1 To spark new ideas of your own

Reading lots of books about different areas of thought fills your brain with concepts, ideas, and language that stimulate your own creativity. I believe that there are indeed “new things under the sun.” We discover them by taking in as many ideas as possible and letting our mind to do the work of finding the connections that lead to original thinking. The easiest (and best) way I know to accomplish this is by reading lots of books.

Sitting down with a book take extended periods of concentration and focus which is hard to do at first. Being engaged in a book involves closing off you to the outer unwanted filthy stuff and immersing into the text. Over time, this will strengthen your attention span.

This is perhaps the most amazing benefit of reading, and I’m surprised that more people don’t notice it. When we read books, we’re literally thinking the authors’ thoughts along with them! The best minds in history are available to us, to help us do our thinking. When reading their work, you can think the thoughts of geniuses in their field. If we read their masterpieces, we can often evolve as better souls in our perspective fields.

#4 It exposes you to try new things

Through reading, you expose yourself to new things, new information, new ways to solve a problem, and new ways to achieve one thing. It is often said that if you keep on doing the same things, then you will keep on receiving the same things. Challenge yourself to experience new things or embark on new adventures and endeavors.

 No matter how exhausted you are, reading can help you to release stress. Its true – some studies found that reading 6 minutes can reduce stress levels by up to 68%. Reading about something you enjoy or losing yourself in a superior novel is an excellent way to relax. It can ease tension in your muscles and heart while letting your brain wander to new ideas and live in.

#6 Reading can help your financial situation

No, reading won’t make your rich, but it can lead to situations that cause a positive influence on your financial status. For example, people who read a lot do better at work and this can lead to raises and promotions. Moreover, there are books that can help you to combat debt, learn how to invest, and take advantage of bargains. This can assist you to improve your financial situation.

 Improving your vocabulary and writing skills go hand in hand with developing your communication skills. The more you read and write, the better you communicate – you’ll become more informed in various areas of life. All of this translates into a higher self-esteem.

# 8 Makes you smarter

 Books give you a chance to gain an enormous amount of research in a short span of time. You can achieve an image of the smart person when you are known to have better and liberal ideas that so many other people working with you do believe and personify your position.

#9 It gives Inspiration

Life is full of challenges. As we move through different phases indifferent, a little motivation can be of great help. Reading inspirational books about life experiences can offer you a substantial lesson. Whereas, autobiography gives you motivation and keeps you encouraged to achieve your personal goals. 

#10  Books are irreplaceable

With advancing technologies, people find reading books is less interesting, as we need to maintain a quotidian flow. But books will continue to be indispensable symbols of learning, and by flipping through pages, marking on them, writing on them and feeling them has its own pleasures which cannot be replaced by scrolling.

 

These are just a few aspects; yes a few which discloses that why you have to read a book. But let me tell something books actually gives you a perspective with which you can change your life, it helps you to think and grow rich. Because books tell the stories of people you don’t know, places you haven’t been, and the world you never ever tried to experience before.  And for every reason not to read, there are a hundred reasons to pick up a book. Whether on the train, before bed, or while standing in line, everyone can find time to read. All you need to know is to encourage reading is to encourage life-long learning.

So don’t regret experiencing the essence of reading a book.
Start reading – restart living.
